How is CSAT calculated?
CSAT is the percentage of satisfied answers: people who chose 4 or 5 on a 1–5 scale, divided by everyone who answered, times 100.
What’s the difference between CSAT and NPS?
CSAT measures how one moment went, such as a support chat or a purchase. NPS measures the overall relationship and how likely someone is to recommend you.
When should I send a CSAT survey?
Right after the moment you want to measure: when a ticket is solved, after a delivery, or at the end of onboarding, while the experience is fresh.
Should I look at the average too?
Yes. CSAT shows how many people were happy; the average shows how happy. Two teams with the same CSAT can have different averages.
