How do you calculate NPS?
Count promoters (9–10), passives (7–8) and detractors (0–6). NPS = % promoters − % detractors. Passives count towards the total but not the score, so NPS runs from −100 to +100.
What is a good NPS?
Any score above 0 means you have more promoters than detractors. What counts as good depends on your industry and how you survey, so the most useful comparison is your own score over time.
How many responses do I need?
The more the better: with only a handful of answers, one person can move the score a lot. Watch the trend across several months rather than any single reading.
What should I do after measuring NPS?
Read the follow-up comments, reply to detractors first, and tell people what you changed. That’s closing the loop, and it’s what moves the score.
